We regularly meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month, with the exception of July, August, and December. A social hour precedes the dinner and program at 6:20 at

    Vonnie's discovery of Emma Oakes' compositions at a flea market triggered her acquaintance and mild obsession with Daniel Chessman Oakes that resulted in her book,  D.C. Oakes: Family, Friends & Foe. Vonnie discusses some of the roadblocks she encountered during her research, and will discuss the rewards of sleuthing and persistence in pursuit of details of Emma's life.
